A 68-year-old female underwent cataract surgery at a local hospital four weeks ago

A 68-year-old female underwent cataract surgery at a local hospital four weeks ago. She attended your practice with a complaint of improved but still blurry vision. The preoperative visual acuity on the operated right eye was 0.16 (6/36), and at your examination, it was 0.4 (6/15). The left eye has a mild cataract and a visual acuity of 0.6 (6/10). The intraocular pressures were within normal limits. Both eyes were quiescent with no signs of intraocular inflammation or endophthalmitis. The cornea in both eyes was not fully transparent. The patient mentioned that her mother had very poor vision after cataract surgery on both eyes approximately 20 years ago and needed to use many eye drops at that time.
